City Party Secretary Ye Luzhong Visits Yingli Shares for Research and Investigation

On the afternoon of May 10, Ye Luzhong, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, visited Shucheng County to conduct a research tour on the development of the electronic information industry and the innovation and upgrading of the development zone. Zhang Xiuping, Vice Chairperson of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference and Secretary of the Shucheng County Party Committee, along with Wang Hongjun, Secretary-General of the Municipal Party Committee, accompanied him on the visit.

Secretary Ye Luzhong and his delegation visited Anhui Yingli Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. They went deep into the factory workshops and had an in-depth exchange with Mr. Dai Jun, the company’s general manager, on topics including technological innovation, transformation and upgrading, product R&D, strengthening and supplementing industrial chains, and market development.

 
Mr. Dai Jun explained that, in the face of complex domestic and international economic conditions and an economic downturn, the company’s core business—laptop structural components—has been performing poorly. However, as one of the few companies in the industry capable of providing integrated services ranging from precision mold design and manufacturing to the production of structural component modules, the company maintained a high level of R&D investment in 2022, focusing particularly on enhancing intelligent manufacturing and reducing production costs. The company also recently received recognition such as the “Anhui Province Smart Factory” designation. At the same time, the company continues to maintain strong cooperation with its key customers and steadily increases its market share in laptop structural components.

To address the current challenging situation of declining demand in the consumer electronics sector, companies are actively seeking new avenues and exploring emerging business areas. In October 2022, the company established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Anhui Feimi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Within a short period, the company assembled a technical team, a marketing team, and a management team dedicated to photovoltaics, rapidly expanding into fields such as solar cell and module manufacturing, investment and construction of photovoltaic power plants, and integrated solar-plus-storage products. The company is striving to become a key player in the photovoltaic new-energy industry, both in China and globally. As of April 2023, the company’s first 500 MW automated encapsulation line for photovoltaic modules has already entered mass production. Mr. Dai Jun stated that the development of the photovoltaic industry will help enhance the company’s financial performance, strengthen its core competitiveness, and promote its high-quality, sustainable development.

After listening to the briefing, Secretary Ye Luzhong expressed high appreciation for the company’s proactive transformation efforts while maintaining stability in its core business. He clearly pointed out that, given the current complex and ever-changing international situation, the pace of industrial development and transformation must be accelerated. We must deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, fully, accurately, and comprehensively embrace the new development philosophy, and actively build and integrate into a modern industrial system. As the main players in the market economy, enterprises must promptly discern market trends, seize opportunities, act swiftly to shift their mindset and development approach, intensify efforts to adjust their product structures, accelerate their transformation and upgrading, and strive to take the initiative in the tide of market competition.
